You can have a license on a thumb drive, I have one for JAWS 18 and if I go
to a computer that has JAWS demo installed I can put my key in it and use
it. Other than that I use a portible copy of NVDA.

Hi

Freedom Scientific used to put out a thumb drive version of JAWS. But the
latest release of the thumb drive version that I could find on the FS web
site was for JAWS 15. The thumb drive version could be run mostly from a
thumb drive. But Before you can run the thumb drive version , the JAWS
video intercept had to be installed on the computer. But since the latest
version is JAWS 15, it can only be used on Windows 8.1 and earlier. It
will not run on Windows 10.
For more information, while you're on the FS web site. Go to the downloads
link, then to the JAWS link, then the Previous versions of jaws link, then
to the JAWS 15 thumb drive USB Downloads link and press enter. This will be
a page that explains how to use the thumb drive version and the download
links for the 32 and 64 bit versions and the video intercept.

Hello, List,

Another question. I know I've seen info on this, but need to be reminded.
Is it possible to carry Jaws on a thumb drive, then download it to whatever
computer I happen to be on. An example of this would be a floating office
administrator who works in several different locations on different
computers.

Please help me understand this process and how to implement it.

Thanks very much.

Judy
