Jared and all: I currently am using Firefox version 52.032.
I typically only have one, or maybe two tabs open at the most when using the browser. As another interesting note, I used to have Firefox set to automatically update, but apparently that doesn't work any more, since I believe the latest version of Firefox is version 53. Does anyone know how I can get the automatic updates started again? Perhaps a newer version of Firefox will solve the frequent crashing problem, although I worry how well it will work with Jaws 18 and Windows 7 here. Usually this happens with an extension or something with firefox itself. I've been on youtube a little bit and no issues. I would try a reboot to see if its a memory thing. Are you running the latest firefox, and how many tabs are open? Could be a memory issue if there are a lot of tabs open.
