Yes, I received that message but it seems the problem is with my friend's password. When he called his ISP they told him he had to call Google.

Hello there;

As I mentioned in my previous message, you'll need to go into the google
account, and make a change to the security settings.
I sent message with instructions yesterday evening.

Okay, Mike, those are the exact settings I have on my friend's computer.
Still, I'm not able to send or receive email.

Hi Arianna,

Here are my settings for Gmail using POP3 & Outlook Express:
Incoming server: pop.gmail.com
Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com
Account Name: complete email address
Password: ****
Remember password is checked.
Not checked: Log on using Secure Password Authentication
Checked: My server requires authentication
Advanced Page:
Outgoing SMTP 465
Checked: This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
Incoming Mail POP3 995
Checked: This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Problem setting up Gmail account in Outlook Express

I'm trying to set up a friend's Gmail account in Outlook Express using
Windows 7 and JAWS 17. His password is staying put but I'm wondering if I
have the port numbers wrong? I've tried 465 for SMTP and 995 for Pop3.
Is
this correct? If so, what else could be the problem.

Can someone please help me with this? I'm truly stumped here!
