Yes, I received that message but it seems the problem is with my friend's
password. When he called his ISP they told him he had to call Google.

Account Name: complete email address
Password: ****
Remember password is checked.
Not checked: Log on using Secure Password Authentication

Advanced Page:
Outgoing SMTP 465
Checked: This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
Incoming Mail POP3 995
Checked: This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
