Hi Adrian,
But I pressed all three of them simultaneously and got that message. Should
I have pressed control at some other point_ Anyway, what Nathanael suggested
worked marvels and is very straightforward.
T hanks to both of you,
                Takis

You got what you'd expect to hear from JAWS key+f, which is font and point
size. You can confirm by pressing JAWS key+1 (on the number row above the
letters), which tells you what each keystroke does when JAWS is in a
specific application. Adding control to this combination while you're inside
an email message should enable you to perform a search of that message's
content.

Hi all,
Out of curiosity, with jaws 18 and outlook 2007, I tried insert-cntrl-f and
what I get is "point black on white mix font." So, it did not work for me
either and I would be interested for any suggestions.

        Dear Adrian Spratt:
Thanks for your reply. I will try both of those hot keys for the Find
command for Outlook. Regards: Ted Larson

Hi, Ted. Welcome to JAWS!

To search within an open message, add the JAWS key to control-f. this
three-key combination comes in useful in many common applications even when
control-f also works.

To search through the messages in a folder, place focus at one of the
folder's messages and press shift-control-f. this is a Microsoft command. An
alternative is to press control-e, another MS command.

Dear List:

I just migrated from window-eyes to jaws. I know that the jaws Find command
is control-F. However, in outlook, the control-F is the Forward command.
What procedure do I use to find text in Outlook? Do I use some sort of
bypass or override hot key? Thanks. Regards: Ted Larson
