Morne: I believe this is an Outlook problem.
Here are some instructions for keeping unread e-mails listed as unread: Once in Outlook, go to the view tab. In the layout menu, click on reading pane. Choose options from the drop-down menu Uncheck "mark items as read when selection changes.". Then hit ok. I have not tried these instructions for a while, but they have worked for me when using Outlook 2010, 2013, and now 2016. I'm using Windows 7 and Jaws 18 here. I'm not sure if this is a jwf issue, however, I will still ask. When I open Outlook, jaws says "unread) when standing on a specific message. When I navigate away from the message, and return to it, jaws doesn't say "unread" anymore. It is as if the message has been read, although I didn't physicaly open the message at all. Is there a way that a message can remain unread until I open it? Thanks in advance.
