You do have a point.
Here is something to consider, as the programs change from old to
new, it
can become much more difficult to continue reaching back to make the
old,
work with the infrastructure of the new. IT can be much more involved
than
one may think and I feel for developers who have to keep patching up
the old

Here is the point Windows7 is still support thus new features should

with it. I also noticed the installer issue has been reported on other

Keep in mind, Windows 7 is only one version away from Vista and Vista is
considered a fossil at this point. In training clients, it is
unfortunate to
have clients who have held on to old technology until the point that
their
skills start to become antiquated and dated. Technology is like a steam
roller, if we don't stay ahead of it, it will run us right over
without a
second thought.
When I hear people talking about old OS operating systems, they might as
well be talking about XP. Sorry to sound perhaps rough, but with all
of the
updates to 10, 7 is pretty much like XP at this point. Microsoft has
already
warned users that the security architecture for Windows 7 is extremely
vulnerable and open to many types of risks, and they dropped a
significant
amount of support for it back in 2013. It will lose all support in
2020 and
if one is using Windows 7 or Internet Explorer, you are falling
behind the
train.
I am not trying to start a debate, and hope that my words don't come
across
as combative, just putting this out there so it doesn't come back to
be a
thorn in anyone's side.

This is because the underlying technology is only available on
Windows 8 and
10, similar to complete touchscreen support. Screen Shade cannot be
backported to Windows 7 (might be, but it is both difficult and as
Win7 is
in security maintenance mode at this time).
