JAWS 2018 is the latest version; JAWS 18 was released in 2017. FS decided to try and remove the confusion they caused.
A major paradigm shift in how JAWS works "under the hood" took place between JAWS 16 and JAWS 17. And frankly I've been less than satisfied with JAWS performance since then. Some very slow reactions to simple JAWS commands, which used to be very responsive. So I often unload 2018 and go back to version 16, just to get things done sooner.
