Hi Adrian,

Glad it worked for you. I have this little program that I run every so
often that tells me if there are any updates for installed programs on that
particular computer.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

Mike, thanks. Your installer succeeded in updating my version of VLC. Now
I'm curious how you knew to get this installer.

Hi Adrian,

I've updated 4 Windows 7 computers to the latest VLC program, so I can't
imagine it's because you're running Win 7. Below is a Dropbox download link
for the installer I used, it's 64 bit:

Let me know how it works.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

Rick and Mike,

Yes, maximizing the file solved the problem although only after I pressed
escape to get out of some popup or other.

Mike, FYI, my system won't allow me to update beyond VLC 2.6, presumably
because I still have Windows 7.

Hi Adrian,

Have you tried rebooting? Also, have you updated VLC lately? I wouldn't
think updating would be it, but the latest version is, vlc-2.2.8. Is the
file you're playing maximized?

Hi. I used to be able to pause recordings on the VLC Player by pressing the
spacebar. Now I can pause only by going into the menus. Same with other
functions. Any idea why the shortcuts aren't working for me and how I can
bring them back?
