In my case, the device is not different. It's the location that's different.
The device works fine at home, just not when I am away from home.

It is asking for you to verify that you are using a different device than
what you used before. There should be a button which says something about
adding this device.

Whenever I sign into a new app with my Gmail or Google account
credentials, I get one of those Emails from Google. Usually, you can just
disregard them.
