Tom, this has been a huge help! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your giving me all these key commands. Are there any more that might be helpful for me. I'm thoroughly enjoying this new netbook and this new way with which I don't have to move my hands from the keyboard at all.

Many thanks.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] RE laptop command for reading current line

If you have JAWS set to the laptop keyboard setting, the caps lock key
becomes the JAWS key.
As you hold the caps lock key with your left fifth finger, the keys under
your right hand become navigation reading keys.
JAWS key plus
I, reads the current line
U, reads the previous line
O, reads the next line

Then, JAWS key plus
K, reads the current word
J, reads the previous word
L, reads the next word

And JAWS key plus
comma, reads the current letter
M, reads the previous letter
period, reads the next letter

Note that if you press the caps lock key twice quickly, it toggles the
caps lock feature.
If you don't want all letters capitalized, just tap the caps lock key
twice quickly and you'll be back to normal typing mode.
Blessings,
Tom

The subject line asks my question.
