perhaps your speakers were muted. This is one of the reasons I use USB
headphones to listen to Jaws. Also, I can listen to my music. While using
Jaws. Which is an added bonus. Once I required new headphones, and my
speakers became muted. I rushed to get new ones. I used Jaws to unmute my
speakers, and I was good to go.

I received help with a task from my sighted computer person today and as

task was being completed, Jaws went silent. He couldn't help with this
remotely, apparently, and when I rebooted, Jaws did not start. He actually
came to my house and started Jaws in about 2 seconds. When I asked what

problem was, he said that Jaws had been muted. He didnd't seem to know
what
I could have done on my own to start it. In this case, would insert, space
bar, and S have worked Or is there something else I could have done?
