Sure thing, Tom.

1. Open document in protected view.
2. Locate the File tab on your ribbon.
3. Down arrow to the Info menu.
4.  Tab slowly and listen for the Allow Edit button.  That should be two tab
positions from the start.
5. Press Enter to activate the allow Edit button.

IMPORTANT:
Once you have taken a document out of Protected View, it's always best to
press  CONTROL+S to save the document.  In most cases, once Protected  View
is removed, it stays that way.  But occasionally, Heaven only knows why, you
close the document and when it's re-opened, Protected View reappears.  If
you save the document in an editable form, that doesn't happen.
