Did you sign-in to webvisum with your Webvisum account? ----- Original Message ----- From: Mario To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Monday, April 11, 2016 7:08 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] need help with security capture screens.
I browse to webvisum.com, login, find and activate the download link, press alt+a to allow when I hear the message to do so,... and then nothing else happens. -------- Original Message -------- From: Steve Sent: Monday, Apr 11, 2016 5:07:33 PM EST To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] need help with security capture screens. I'm not sure, have you tried just going to Webvisum from his computer with Firefox? When you are there, there is a link to install the extension. You may need to press alt-A to tell Firefox you want to allow the add-in. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mario To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Monday, April 11, 2016 4:31 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] need help with security capture screens. on my computer, Web Visum still works in Firefox 45.0.1. I think it's because I have WV set to automatically sign me in when FF is started. I also have FF set to not automatically update. occasionally, I use my nephews computer that runs Windows 8, and it has FF 40, but when I search for the WV extension, there's no match. why is WV not listed? FF hasn't been updated to 45yet. -------- Original Message -------- From: Steve Sent: Monday, Apr 11, 2016 3:53:14 PM EST To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] need help with security capture screens. It (Webvisum) still works with Firefox--or it did a week ago when I last used it--just not with the newer versions of Firefoox. ----- Original Message ----- From: Gerald Levy To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Monday, April 11, 2016 6:58 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] need help with security capture screens. No, JAWS cannot decode image captchas. The only way to solve captchas without sighted help is to use Webvisum with Firefox, which is no longer supported, or Rumola, which works with both Firefox and IE and costs a measily 99 cents a year. For my fellow JAWS users. I have been trying to set up an account out on STEAM for online games. Like most web pages these days it takes a security capture code. Now most companies these days are offering a audio challenge. But Valve corporation, the company behind the STEAM online gaming web page isn’t even offering we blind gamers a audio challenge. The web address is at www.steampowered.com I can get through all of the fields except when it comes to the security capture screen. Even my sighted father couldn’t even read the stupid security capture info to me. So, I’m running windows 10 and the latest copy of jaws 17. Can we get jaws to read capture screen info to us? That way, we too may enjoy some of these web pages. Very Thankfully Yours, Ron Kolesar who’s known in the FSX Flight simulator world as the Blind Pilot.
