Subject: [JAWS-Users] The anniversary update to W-10, changes to expect

Hi Jaws user list.
Hi group, I just did a Jaws tandem into Ed's new laptop which is running the
anniversary update of W-10.

The settings area, changes:

1. After pressing Windows key+I, you are now in the search edit box.

2. Tab one time to the category list of 9 main categories.

3. After pressing enter on any of these categories, again you are in
the search edit box, just tab one time to the list of sub-categories.

4. . The first sub-category is always selected for you.

5. Just begin tabbing across the choices.

6. Again Jaws speaks too much information, just like at the first.

7. Always press, insert+Tab, this makes Jaws repeat what control you
are sitting on.

8. There are many new sub-categories in this new update.

9. I found a few places where Jaws had a hard time.

10. But overall, worked pretty good, at times, too much speaking.

The start button area:

1. After pressing the windows key, or pressing enter on the start
button.

2. You are in the search edit box.

3. Tab one time to, the navigation button.

4. Press the down arrow to get to all your shortcuts, Documents,
downloads, personal folders, and power button.

5. Tab again to, your list of apps and programs.

6. First letter navigation only works from say, A to B. From whatever
letter you are currently in to, to the next letter, no further.

7. Tab again to, the live tile region.

8. OK, let me review.

9. After pressing enter on the start button, or pressing the windows
key.

10. You will be in the search edit box, tab one time to, your shortcuts to

your folders and the power button, tab again to, the list of apps and
programs, tab again to, the live tile region.

11. In my opinion, Freedom Scientific, needs to do some work with Jaws to
have it more ready for the new start button area in the anniversary update.

Action center.

1. What was the notification center is now the action center?

2. So either pressing Windows key+A, or pressing enter on the action
center on the notification bar.

3. You can sometimes tab across here as usual, but if you find the
tablet icon, just press the right arrow key to go across all the items here.

4. When you find action center notices, just down arrow through the
list of notices.

5. Tab one time to the delete these notices.

1. Everything else looked as it does now, as far as what I had the
time to look at.

2. Make sure you look at the back-ground-apps, most of them are turned

back on again.

3. I will have to wait until my computer gets updated to play with
some of the new settings area sub-categories, to figure out exactly what
they do.

4. Anyhow, this is the best I can do for now.

Good luck...
