They have been moved here either because they were out of date or because the underlying technology has changed with a newer release. The reason why they are not just deleted and the old versions are kept in CVS is that delete files do not show up in CVS unless you KNOW that they are here. If you feel that some information in one of these files would be useful you are welcome to update the contents to match the actual release version and move the file back into the "active" places.
