Jetty is **currently** the default JSP engine used by JBoss. Not too long ago, Tomcat was the default. I don't think either of them is "official", sine they are independent products and JBoss just picks one. At this point, I prefer Tomcat. So if anyone chooses to address this issue, I sincerely hope they do so in an agnostic manner. JBoss has been very good up to now about making all things pluggable, so I'm assuming they would in this case also.
