Attendees: Tilmann Zäschke, Craig Russell

Agenda:

1. Change to JDO specification with regard to jdoql null handling

Done and done. !(optional1.optional2.isPresent()) will return true for cases
where either optional1 is null or optional2 is null.

Navigation through a null-valued field, which would throw NullPointerException,
is treated as if the subexpression returned null.
Clarification is needed as to what the subexpression is. It is actually the
null-valued field navigating to the next field. Maybe an example would help.

Also, need to add !null is also null.

2. New JIRA JDO-756 "Enhance PK to avoid LongIdentity/StringIdentity
dependencies" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-756

Perhaps we can discuss next week.

3. JDO-735 "Make PersistenceManager and Query support AutoCloseable (JDK1.7+)"
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-735

Pending specification proposal.

4. JDO-751 "Support for Java8 Optional"
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-751

The new patch needs clarification near line 127 to explain that navigation
through optionalPC returns null when optionalPC is null or
optionalPC.optionalPC is null. The expression that is negated is .isPresent().

5. JDO-747 "Behavior of delete() with multiple concurrent Transactions"
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-747

6. JDO 3.1: Need to go through change lists in JIRA for 3.1 RC1 and 3.1 to
prepare JCP Change Log
