hi,
I love that Shpil du Fidl too; we have a version soon to be released by
Metropolitan Klezmer. Just two little things which I notice on the Maxwell
St version which differ from Picon's lyrics as delivered in the film "Yidl
mitn fidl" (these were points which Yankl Salant at YIVO helped me with a few
months back, so I'm passing along the results of his careful listening...
this is in YIVO orthography):

on the soundtrack, Molly Picon sings "libe-lid" rather than libes-lid. And
Picon has it as "nor du veyst aleyn, vi es nogt un tsit" [how it haunts/gnaws
and tugs/pulls] rather than "nor du veyst aleyn, vi azoy ikh fil". If it's
published elsewhere in a different version, I'd be interested to know that.
