Ok I have some suspicious looking backtraces now where some threads are sleeping in jfs_unlink (which holds the directory i_sem I think) which hold the i_sem (from sys_mkdir).
Well, it's more or less out of my hands now. I wonder if this relates to my performance problems as well - I suspect it does, although a fix for this bug may ot improve performance.
