The patch mailing list shows a number of patches post
jfs 1.1.7 that seem important.

Are there any 'must-have' jfs patches that should be
backported for systems using kernel-2.4.27 or
kernel-2.4.28?

Debian is about to release Debian 3.1 with
kernel-2.4.27 which includes jfs patches included in
kernel-2.4.28. It would be nice if jfs shipped with
Debian 3.1 is as stable as possible (I've been
recommending it to many).

And are there plans to release jfsutils 1.1.8 in the
near future?
