You need to create a subclass of JmolPanel and override one or more methods xxx
being sure to use super.xxx() as needed. Some private variables may be
problems. So you may have to build your own jar files and not just use Jmol.jar
for this.

Subject: Re: [Jmol-developers] how to add extra menu bar to Jmol Viewer?

Using integration.java I have put Jmol Viewer to a new frame.
How to interact with that Jmol Viewer? that is I would like to add a new panel
to the frame and would like to view different molecules in that Jmol Viewer.
Please suggest.

regards,
Sam

There is an example in the examples subdirectory of putting the Jmol Viewer
into a frame in another application. This is no problem. But are you wanting to
also have the toolbars and drop-down menus? That might be a bit more of a
challenge. For example, you would have to catch the File...Exit... event. I
did have to fix a bug that was preventing Integration.java from running, by the
way. I have not tested those examples in a long time.

Hi,
1. I am using Jmol Viewer as the molecule viewer for my docking tool. I would
like to add my Docking tool Button onto a new menu bar on the Jmol Viewer. Is
there a possibility for doing that?

2. Also, I would like to know how to fit Jmol Viewer to a new JFrame(which is
my tool) ? If that is possible, then I will use Jmol as the molecule viewer for
my tool.

Awaiting suggestions as early as possible. Thanks in advance.
