I just double-click on Jmol.jar to have it running in French on my French OSX config. Have you checked this link : http://wiki.jmol.org/index.php/Jmol_Application#Forcing_Jmol_to_open_in_a_certain_language some of the recommendations can confirm that a class is indeed missing. Paul
