I should have mentioned that the jmol version is 12.2.10
I am using the default jar file
I am serving it from a LAMP server that uses light speed.
The client I am observing this on is Windows 7 Enterprise
with both IE 9.0.8xxx and Firefox 9.01.

It seems that the logic that positions the flyout
decides to either position the top of the flyout
even with the top of the dropdown menu entry
or to position the bottom of the flyout even
with the bottom of the dropdown entry depending
on how close to the bottom you are. When using
top to top logic, the flyouts are always positioned
correctly but when using bottom to bottom logic
sometimes they line up and sometimes they do not.
