Most of the time jobs are found via personal connections and recommendations. I think this would be particularly true if you are looking for someone to invest the time, risk and money on going through the visa process with you or hiring you to work remotely many timezones away. So: Step one is to build a reputation for being nice, productive and fun to work with. This could be tele-commute work (full time or contract work) or participation in open source projects related to things you'd like to do as paid work. - ask
