Well, laptops because of the extra things they have on their displays
are always suspect.
Without knowing exactly what you did, and what you installed, and
how, it'd be hard to know for sure.
Lots of possible issues.
I doubt anyone here can tell you anything they already haven't told you.
And yes, other sighted users can make a big difference.
Windows can get dragged around,
and views changed that can cover stuff up to change how the scripts
operate because they don't see the right thing, etc.
We use the control surface a lot but we're still not entirely away
from positional things.
I don't think that system was ever entirely working right but at the
time it wasn't important to you and you side-stepped it.
But until you solve those core issues any time you try and do
something it'll pull you up.
And asking the same questions and expecting different answers and
because it's a different day won't matter 'smile'.
My good buddy who owns a lot of this town and is a great business man
says if you always do what you always did, you always get what you always got.

do with how many users are on my computer. I think it's some
squirly thing going on with sonar and jsonar. Or with the
views. Once while messing with it this morning I got it to work
after I switched the layout to jsonar but then the next time I
tried that it didn't work. It's like now the insert thing only
shows up randomly like it's a floating thing. But I can't figure
out what makes it appear and what doesn't. I just know that the
control ap key doesn't work all the time. It's not just the insert
send, it's not that I press control ap and everything else shows up
but that, it's that most of the time when I press controll
aplication key nothing happens, but then occasionally something
does show up, and before you respond, make sure you're on the name
of the track, I will tell you that I have done that.
