Hi Stefan, you're right, that's the functionality I was searching for. But there is one (important) difference: The "open file"-function in OJ 1.3 loads every selected raster-file in a single layer, while the "add image layer"-function from OJ 1.2 F loads them in one single layer. The advantages are a clearer legend, the opportunity to set the properties at once and to save all the raster-files as one file (e.g. GML) to have it persistent in the project. And(!!!): To load all the selected files in one layer is much faster: To load 26 tif-tiles of a german topographical map (1:25.000) with OJ 1.3 for example lasts approx. 1 Minute, while loading them with 1.2 F lasts just some seconds. So I think for the next release it would be nice to have the opportunity to choose between loading all the selected raster-files in one layer or in different layers. This functionality could be located in the "open file"-dialog. Regards, Nils Stefan Steiniger schrieb: If I remember correctly, the "old" function is used when a) you use drag an drop b) use the normal "open file" option (i.e. not the sextante version) - as you see from the drop down file types list, it contains image file formats as wellknowing this.. do you still think that it should be back into the layer menu? stefan Nils Kuhn wrote:Hi all, the function "Add Image Layer" from the main-menu "Layer" is missing since OJ 1.3 (new menu-structure). This function has some advantages to the sextante-raster-images. The biggest for me is the availability of the "Change Styles"-dialog via layer-context-menu with the opportunity to set smallest and largest scale!!! Shouldn't this function be added again with the next OJ-release (e.g. in the open-dialog as a fifth category) or does that cause problems with sextante?! For the sextante-raster-image-layer it would be nice to set the properties (e.g. the transparency) for many layers at once. regards, Nils ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Jump-pilot-devel mailing list Jump-pilot-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jump-pilot-devel------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Jump-pilot-devel mailing list Jump-pilot-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jump-pilot-devel -- Dipl.-Biol.
