Hi ,
Can anybody tell me what is the option --force-vermagic or
--force-modversion and --set-version used for while using modprobe.
I think its for not checking the version of the kernel.
I tried it but it's not working its showing Invalid module format. My
module name is test1. I copied test1.o from 2.6.8 kernel and my current
working kernel is 2.6.4 and i converted that test1.o to test1.ko in my
current kernel ie 2.6.4-smp . And when tried to load that module using the
above options its showing invalid module format.
If its not working then what is that option for?
