Now more in detail what's the problem: After adding a device you want to connect, you get a message, informing you that the device is (still) unconnected/unpaired. You also see button, which gives you the ability to request the mentioned connection (or pairing). But the button label is quite confusing as it tells you that the request is already in progress. Unfortunately I've only the German version of kdeconnect available but I assume that the problem exists for other languages, too. Please have a look at the attached screenshot. The solution (for the German case) would be: "VERBINDUNG ANFORDERN" (instead of "VERBINDUNG ANGEFORDERT").
