I usually don't create then in the past, so it's not necessary the same issue. This is a openSUSE Tumbleweed install and I don't think it ever had 4.x on it. I also had to erase the Akonadi database, all of the Kontact configuration, and cache once this year and start fresh, so if it's stale data, it's from sometime this year. Korganizer reports 5.5.3. Tumbleweed is up to date as of last week. If you think it's distro-specific breakage, I'll file over there.
