No, that is very unlikely.
The old interface you prefer is based on Qt version 3 (this why you can't build
the app anymore, no current distribution ships Qt3 anymore). It has to be
ported to Qt version 5 to be able to run alongside the current user interface.
I don't see enough value in the old interface to warrant the work required.
