Bug ID: 402869 Summary: Add write permission to files copied from an MTP device Product: dolphin Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: martonmiklosq...@gmail.com CC: elvis.angelac...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When copying files from an MTP or PTP device (such a digital camera) the copied files will have readonly permissions for the owner as well. It is pretty inconvenient because before I edit those files I have to change permissions. I understand that it makes sense to keep the file permissions during the copy operation, but this case is different: I can delete files from the MTP/PTP filesystem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect an MTP device which contains some files 2. Copy a file to a location where you have write permissions OBSERVED RESULT The copied file will have readonly permissions EXPECTED RESULT The copied file should have RW permissions for the copying user SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 16.04.3 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 16.04.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.36.0 Qt Version: 5.6.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
