Bug ID: 413959 Summary: Shortcuts Instability Product: krita Version: 4.2.7.1 Platform: Windows CE OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Shortcuts and Canvas Input Settings Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: keyth2363...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 123800 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123800&action=edit Krita Shortcut proposal SUMMARY I have been trying to work on a custom shortcut set to improve my work flow but it seems that do it makes stuff to break down. after setting my shortcut keys and restarting Krita the shortcut layout that I just made stops working. Loading and importing does not really work ((and I don't even know what the difference between both really are, it would be nice to have a dialog box to explain a bit more from each option kinda like blender had a while back if you hovered for a bit)). But the thing is that I need to reinstall Krita so I can get my shortcut keys to work again it is quite the hassle. I see the Small Color Selector disappearing too. I think this breaks Krita because I can't use all keyboard keys as shortcuts because there is the "Canvas Input Profile" too I kinda feel this too be super odd to have 2 sets of "shortcuts". the way I see it the input method should not use keyboard keys and the shortcut keys should probably should be upgraded to handle some more modifiers like in the "Canvas Input Profile" If you guys want I could work on a keyboard vector based for the menu to help visualize how the shortcuts would be set. like a small keyboard and it would display how everything is set up and seperate by colour each class (painting= blue, animation=red, selection=yelllow) and then you could press on some buttons (Ctrl, Alt, Shift) to see what was being used with each modifier as it would change the display to that selection. I think I will do just that today to add to this post and post on krita social medias to see what people think about that change. I know I did some mental gymnastics to create my own if I could just see it and test, it whould have been quite easyer if I could acctually see it on screen compared to other shortcuts and not a list of mostly unwanted results. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. place my shortcut key that I have been working for a better workflow 2. restart krita 3. check shortcut list if it loaded and if you can see a shortcut list even, if it is there restart again OBSERVED RESULT shortcut keys reset to default state despite shortcut profile selection EXPECTED RESULT 1) Have my shortcut profile loaded up and working as set up previously optional) A keyboard display over the Settings Shortcuts list with modifier toggle display SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is actually a shortcut key proposal I am working on to send you guys if you want, but I think I kinda broke Krita doing it DX -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
