Unfortunately it's not always so fast. Mostly the time between clicking logout and becoming logged out is negligible. However, in some cases it takes around 10-15 seconds or more on my machine. Probably due to processes in the background which need to be terminated first. However, this leaves the impression as if the logout had not been initiated.
