Can reproduce on Mageia (Plasma 5.18.0, KF 5.67.0, Qt 5.14.1), with mpv which
suffers from the same.
I'm guessing if the process generating the sound has a taskbar entry for
itself, like these regular media players, unlike those
"web-browser-extra-process-players", it can just stop looking for more task
manager entries to "mark"?
