Bug ID: 419549 Summary: Create Kile Sessions Product: kile Version: 2.9.92 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: user interface Assignee: michel.lud...@kdemail.net Reporter: philipp.verpo...@secure.mailbox.org Target Milestone: --- It should be made possible for Kile to have several sessions open across different Windows. It's not uncommon for users (or for me at least) to be working on two different projects or files in parallel. Often this happens on different workspaces/desktops or perhaps even in different KDE activities. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a file or project in Kile on one desktop. 2. Open a file or project in Kile on another desktop. OBSERVED RESULT Both files are opened in the same window on the first desktop. EXPECTED RESULT A new window opens, allowing me to work on this file separately in a different Kile session (including its own live preview etc). Much like how Kate works for example. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 18.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
