I kept inotify on. I don't seem to be able to reproduce the problem with the below versions: 2.8.0 from the kubuntu repository 2.8.0-git (your commit 2900fe47adde10999a6c0f907d73b00a1c1bd5b1 from the master branch) tags/v2.8.90 Is there anything else I can check?
