Maybe we can backport to 15.12 branch.
Then again, this looks like Kate from KDE 4, see version 3.14.3...
Maybe we should even backport to 4.x...

Given that was wrong since ever and the number of crashs we got with this is
close to 0, I would just keep it like is in the old versions and be happy with
master fixed.
