Bug ID: 363865
Summary: Some glyphs in font are NOT shown
           Product: kcharselect
           Version: v1.11
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: lai...@kde.org
          Reporter: i...@zti.co.za

This is the opposite of bug 363864.
I have fonts with some new unicode glyphs in. They show up in Fontforge, but in
KCharselect they do not show, and the name is for example "<Not assigned>"

Eg
Character: Non-printable U+218A
Name: <not assigned>
General Character Properties
Block: Number Forms
Unicode category: Other, Not Assigned
Various Useful Representations
UTF-8: 0xE2 0x86 0x8A
UTF-16: 0x218A
C octal escaped UTF-8: \342\206\212
XML decimal entity: ↊

in Symbola font.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Symbola font
2. Mathematical Symbols, Number Forms.
3. +218A and +218B are missing.

Actual Results:
+218A and +218B are missing.

Expected Results:
Glyphs should show.
I suspect this is because KCharselect (BTW version is 1.12 not 1.11 as given
above) is not up to date with latest Unicode spec.
