It seems to be handling hi-res screens in a new way (by handling font DPI better it seems), so that the "scale display" option is no longer needed in most common cases. Therefore, even if the Okular bug still exists, its severity becomes even lower. I'm not sure if this means this bug should be closed. I leave that to your decision.
