Given the size of the feature compared to stretch goals in the kickstarter campaigns, the cost probably would be in the order of 1500 euros or so. That covers about two weeks of work, including design and testing. There are about six hundred bugs and feature requests waiting to be implemented: we are overloaded as it is. So, otherwise, this feature, no matter how useful, will have to wait for someone to find enough spare time to implement it as a volunteer. Or you could also, of course, implement it yourself, or find another C++/Qt developer to implement it and submit it as a patch. That's not to say I don't recognize the usefulness of this feature: it's just that there is too much work to do, and not enough time.
