I have the same problem. From time to time, the window decorations, title bar,
borders etc. disappear, and Alt+Tab to cycle through windows, or clicking on a
window to bring it to the foreground no longer works. This is on a fresh
install of Kubuntu 16.04, with KDE 5.5.5. Strange thing is, it never says that
anything crashed, so there is no dialog box to get a crash report from.
