MIUI ver: Global 12.0.6 Stable Android: 9 Security patch: 2021-05-01 (yy-mm-dd) I found a settings menu with "Special app permissions", notification access is a thing and KDE Connect isn't toggled by default, Your phone companion from Microsoft is.
