As mentioned, when I re-read metadata for my apple HEIC photo, all was fine and the GPS metadata are read correctly and digikam store geolocation properly. Well, if I take that photo whose metadata was correctly re-read and stored in digikam, then make a copy of it and refresh the album again, this new copy is not read properly and the geolocation info is not shown at all. Again, if re-read metadata all fine. It seems to me that is something that does not work well in the first reading in digikam for HEIC files.
