Bug ID: 446173 Summary: Request ability to number each task in Task Manager for accessibility Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager Assignee: h...@kde.org Reporter: shervin.em...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 144010 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=144010&action=edit Example of numbered tasks for MS Windows Hi, for Plasma users that minimise their use of the mouse (eg: for faster access via keyboard, or because of mouse issues due to RSI or other accessibility issues), pressing keyboard shortcuts such as Win+5 to switch to the 5th window has been quite critical, but it would be far easier if the Task Manager had a setting to enable a small number on top of (or next to) each task in the taskbar / task tray. So for example, if a user has 6 different windows opened, they can visually see the numbers for each of those windows (and ideally any quick access shortcuts available in the taskbar), so the user knows that Win+5 is the current shortcut for switching to Firefox and Win+2 is for switching to Dolphin, etc. There's a plug-in that provides this type of functionally for MS Windows, that has been very useful for accessibility: https://rammichael.com/7-taskbar-numberer -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
