Bug ID: 465402 Summary: Some albums duplicated and not able to delete duplicate. Classification: Applications Product: Elisa Version: 22.08.2 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr Reporter: shagooser...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** In the case of the band ACDC there is an issue where some metadata uses the name ACDC and others AC/DC which results in 2 artist collections for the same artist. The issue of getting all albums into 1 artist's collection can be accomplished by editing the file's metadata, however there does not appear to be a way to delete the duplicated entries, ie. I change the metadata from band name AC/DC to ACDC and I now have the same album appearing under 2 artists. This could be caused by having both names names appearing somewhere in the list of tags of the various files but in the case of the album High Voltage I have checked every file's tags 1 & 2 and that is not the case. I have reset database and rescanned everything repeatedly. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. need to collect several ACDC albums and run Elisa 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT As discussed above and shown in the 2 attachments EXPECTED RESULT That when metadata is changed, it is reflected in the output of Elisa and the incorrect or old data is purged.
