Hi,

i see that i did not explain the blanking issue completely:

On DVD-RW, cdrskin "blank=fast" works like "blank=all".
Only "blank=deformat_sequential_quickest" will perform fast blanking
and thus restrict the medium to DAO for the next write run.

There is a MMC feature which is supposed to tell whether the drive
holds such a crippled medium. But not all drives tell correctly.
Some only confess when write type Incremental shall be selected.

So if multi-session on unformatted DVD-RW is an important goal, then
one should not use "blank=deformat_sequential_quickest".
