I really like your mockup but are those numbers to small and transparent to be
seen easily?
How about the right-half could be 'film strip' but made with binary art, like:

(note the above should be mono-spaced font)
Just an idea, and I do like what you have in the mock up. The
binary-film-strip may also have too-small of numbers to be useful/visible.
