Summary: Wrongly labelled and missing dictionaries in kmail composer Product: kmail Version: 1.11.2 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: f...@duval.se Version: 1.11.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic When composing an e-mail, the dictionary list does not contain the languages, only country names preceding by a blank: (Australia) (Canada) (France) (Switzerland) (South Africa) (United Kingdom) (United States of America) The dictionaries that are installed on my Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope are: Package: aspell-en State: installed Automatically installed: no Version: 6.0-0-5.1 Package: aspell-fr State: installed Automatically installed: no Version: 0.50-3-6 Package: aspell-sv State: installed Automatically installed: no Version: 0.51-0-1 On a previous installation of Ubuntu combined with kmail, the dictionaries were properly labelled in the dictionary list and the Swedish dictionary (aspell-sv) was present. This bug can be reproduce by installing kontact on an ubuntu 9.04 and successively install aspell-fr and aspell-sv. Start kontact and begin composing a new e-mail. Enable the dictionary list button (right-click on an empty space above the e-mail address field, choose "Configure Toolbars" and choose finally "Dictionary" from the "Available Actions" list.
