Uh, no.

1 degree rise in external temperature generally causes a multiple degree rise in internal case temperature.

40C isn't that high.  It's only a little above body temperature.

Most cases have internal temperatures right around 30C, and the actual drive temperature is itself a couple degrees hotter.
