My tanks are of epoxy and there is no question in my mind that I can not use any fuel with alcohol in my tanks and there may be other hidden risks in my system also.  The question I asked that started this derailment, if not a full fledged train wreck,  was simply whether or not I could remove the alcohol in auto fuel using water and then filter out the water.  Several came close to answering the question directly but Jeff Scott's post probably provided the most complete useful information when stating the fuel with alcohol removed would probably not be an acceptable fuel after the alcohol is removed.  With all the useful info given I've abandoned the idea entirely.
